The alarm on my 2010 Honda Civic started going off randomly. Everything works fine, and when I click unlock on my car the alarm stops. I have noticed this red light near the speedometer only recently (see second image below), And suspect might have something to do with the alarm going off issue.
I read somewhere that this might be an issue with hood latch sensor, so to test the theory I disconnected it. I still have the same issue. If I do not lock the car after I exit, I do not have any issues
