D16y8 to B series engine swap

First time user on this website I seen how much information can be given and exchanged, decided I needed to remove my current D16y8 in my civic ex 2000, was thinking about swapping it to a b series but don’t know besides the engine what else do I need to install it into my car, or can it fit and run good just as is (would I need another tranny or different wiring to make it fit)any recommendations and or price ranges a bswap would be would be appreciated

D series to B series swap

Wondering if removing my current Dseries in my ex coupe and putting a B series engine would it fit flush with the the tranny or would I need a better tranny to run the b series fine? Price range for this would be grate and any recommendations or advice could be appreciated

Re: D16y8 to B series engine swap

merged both threads into one, they were at wrong sections of the forum so moved them as well
engine swaps requires patience with all the issues you are likely to hit during the process.
If you don't have the patience to even find the right sections of the forums, we highly recommend you do not attempt this.
A search on the forums also contains hundreds of threads with the same questions. another indication of lack of patience.
To complete an engine swap, you also need to be resourceful. If you can't even find the threads with the information to do the job, we also do not recommend you take on this difficult job.

Re: D16y8 to B series engine swap

All of this, and B's are getting rarer and more expensive. K swaps are now cheaper and give you more power. However you don't know what you're doing so you'll be paying out the *** for labour.
