K Series Swap?

I’ve been looking into AWD options a for an EK 2000 Civic and found the K Series to be the most popular.

I was wondering if I could be directed or explained on how the whole process goes from swapping to making it AWD.

(I want the AWD system for the speed along with the benefits of driving in the winter in Alberta but couldn’t find a page that gave me a comprehensive explanation.)

Re: K Series Swap?

Whew, good luck man. Sure, the K series will fit, but retrofitting the drivetrain to the rear wheels AWD drivetrain will take some money and a lot of custom work.

There was one guy that did an "awd swap" on his 1992 civic hatch. He literally took the body off a civic and put it on a suby chassis, welded stuff to make the body look right and still provide necessary structural support

Re: K Series Swap?

B-series may be more practical. You can do the full swap for probably 6-8k.

Or just do a fully built CRV. I can dig it.

Google with caution. I fell down a "monster AWD CRV build" rabbit hole on google
