hmmm, slow? played out? k series has a lot more potential then the b18 or h22. its also the only swap that works in our car, and the only one that is legal, do to the fact you need a motor as new or newer than your cars chassis. and how can it be played out? ppl just started swapping the damn thing.

the only slow thing about the k-series swap that comes to mind is Hawk's swap. That thing took damn near 9 months lol.

if you beat 2 rsx type s, in you car, assuming that it is stock and not boosted, then the drivers of the type s sucked....cause those cars run low 15's high 14's with no mods....and ummm, our civics dont do that....dont swap, get you some boost like me....i love it, and eat type s for lunch

Your mods according to your profile:
Intake, headers, exhaust, cam, titanium springs and retainers. ported and polished. nitrous

so unless they were also spraying, i'm not surprised you won. RSX-S do about 173 whp i believe. you might be pushing 180 whp on the juice i think. Also, they might jus suck at driving or have autos.

wtf? u just proved that other guy right. You hav a ton of money in ur car and thats y u can beat stock rsx type-s'. If u already hav al that done to ur car then just turbo it and screw swapping in a different engine. You would just be wasting ur money IMO.

well these rsx were not stock. um i think one had comptech headers and a cai and exhaust. but if i sell my motor for like 1k i can put it toward my build up of the new motor. which brings me to the first question....... can i put a older motor in my car??

B18 and H22 are both illegal and oudated IMO. if your serious about power and got the money thengo for the K20 swap. I live in FLA and the k20's down here are no joke considering i live 20 min away from cybernation(know worldwide for having the worlds fastest street rsx). their kit puts down 275-300hp at the wheels.so if you want the power go for the swap and kit check cybernationmotorsports.com and if you wanna get rid of that enigne i'll take it off you hands when you wanna sell it!

short answer: no.

Real answer: depends on the laws in your area.

Money answer: go K24 from a TSX w/ AWD from a CRV swap and figure a way to get convert throttle by wire from the TSX to regular throttle system from an accord.

didnt read your profile before i posted, but you also mentioned more here than is in your profile.....shoot....if you have the money then go for the swap....if not, you already have the motor built to handle some serious boost, so go with that....i am planning to have a built motor by the end of the summer to handle 15-20 lbs safely....personally, i think it would be nicer to smoke people in a built and boost d17 than going with a swap....make them feel worse cause you did it your engine and not a k20 or k24.hahaha oh well

Skunk2 makes a stage 3 cam, valve springs and retainers for 7th gens? That's news to me Those aren't slipstreams in your member rides pics either chief.

You are in Florida let me see this bish and prove me wrong.

Heres Skunk2's application list for titanium retainers:

Engine Code Engine Type Part Number MSRP
D16Z 1.6L SOHC VTEC 308-05-0200 $170.00
B16A-B, B17A, B18C1-5 1.6L-1.8L DOHC VTEC 308-05-0300 $170.00
H22A 2.2L DOHC VTEC 308-05-0300 $170.00
K20A 2.0L DOHC iVTEC 308-05-0300 $170.00
B18A-B, B20B-Z 1.8L-2.0L DOHC 308-05-0400 $170.00

Valve spring applications list doesnt list D17 either on their website.

The only way to swap in a h22 or a b18 is to have a 2001 civic and a 2001 engine. Since you have a 02, you'll either have to pull the car off the road to swap in a h or b series motor, or swap in a k series. Simple as that. Your saying they arent any good when you are beating them with all the "stuff" you have. Well imagine you have all that "stuff" in a k series. If you drive right, you'll be looking into the low 13's high 12's.

ok lets see. it might be possible that i went to jaydm.com and purchased a set of black 15 inch rota slips, since i took the picture. and that florida fool. go to tampa and and look at it. then ask my mother for the reciepts from race enginereering. that would be who did all the head and block work. napa did the shave job. and oh if you want the link to my time slip here it is. feel free to call that bs flag again. then in 7 1/2 months when i come back from iraq, bring your slow *** boosted civic on so i can own all of you. none beliving bitches. no faith. later.

oh, thanks to the people that actualy answered my question.
