Stock K20A3 on basemap?

Im going to be putting an unopened k20a3+trans in my CRX, it will have intake, exhaust; bigger fuel pump due to 60hp crx fuel pump being small, and ep3 fuel pump not being from a return type car. Ive got kpro for management. Do you all think I can run on the hondata basemap safely, or should I get a tune? I am going to redline it regularly. Have not messed around in kmanager yet, just trying to budget right now. Thanks everyone

no modifications other than intake/exhaust?
a regular ECU can handle it on the donor car.

Meaning basemap is OK, it will act as controlling a regular K engine. It's safe
but have you checked specs for the fuel pump? will it have enough for the engine?

if you want to extract the last bit of ponies, you do a tune.

heavier mods like bigger injectors will require a tune

Yup, just intake and exhaust, otherwise stock engine. I need kpro to delete CEL for emissions, and bypass the imobilizer. Eventually I will want to do engine mods, and the peace of mind knowing I can mix and match engines is nice.

I may have been unclear in my previous post, I am replacing the crx's original fuel pump due to the small size. I will probably be getting a walbro 255, as this seems to be the move for a stock/ light tune k series.

Unless I need to get a tune for the safety of the engine, or I have big problems with the torque curve, I will be running a basemap, so this is good to hear. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it
