A/C with WHITE SMOKE occasionally
Hi,
my 2k2 Civic's air vent sometimes emit white smoke when I turn ON the A/C. It happened on my 94 accord recently too.....Anyone knows what's the cause or has experienced the same problem?

I had that happen to me today.. I ran the AC then shut it off for like 10 mins and then turned it on again.. all within the same trip and it vented white smoke. I think it is normal. it is just vapor that is being aired out that had accumulated form running the AC previously.... I dunno though

Yes this is normal; a A/C system is designed to remove humudity out of the air. If you have a ambenent air temp inside lower then the humidity level outside the car you'll see this. You'll mostly notice this after a good rain.
Its like blowing your breath across a ice cube.

I get a kick out of it when my car does that. It makes it look like my car is fuming with anger. Actually, it's just the change in temperature no. Like condensation.

I've had this happen to me a few times, the first time I freaked out and pulled off the freeway. Ive noticed though for me it only happens in the morning and when i get on the freeway. I hope its only condensation. thats what i originally thought so i guess you guys are just affirming my thoughts. it still freaks me out though.
