Faulty A/C button
Faulty A/C button
I recently purchased a 2003 civic for 500 bucks because the transmission was supposedly bad. We put a new CAT converter and the trans and car run great. Only problem is the A/C button won’t engage or turn on the A/C. I had the A/C serviced and it is fine, just won’t turn on with the A/C button. What else can I do to fix the button for the A/C

Re: Faulty A/C button
There's a whole bunch of stuff involved in controlling the AC system, the pushbutton switch itself is not a likely cause of the problem.
Re: Faulty A/C button
If the system is low/empty, the A/C button won't turn on or engage the compressor clutch. The very first thing that should happen is the system pressure should be checked. If you force the compressor on when it's low/empty you will cause damage.
