01 civic no start when hot
01 civic no start when hot relay s been changed temp sensor changed cam sensor changed thermostat changed . Need help runs good till u shut off than no go till it cools down
Re: 01 civic no start when hot
Free test is to simply unplug it and see if it starts / restarts hot.
To be clear, I would unplug the O2 sensor first and see if the car starts up when hot, if it doesn’t with the O2 sensor unplugged then I would try the crank sensor..

Re: 01 civic no start when hot
Parts you changed:
1) Fuel pump relay
2) ECT sensor
3) Cam Sensor
4) Thermostat
Remove and clean battery cable terminals and battery posts with a brass wire brush. Apply vaseline to the battery cable terminals and battery posts to prevent corrosion. Trickle charge the battery for 8 or more hours. Clean all chassis and engine grounds and ensure they are tight. While the battery is disconnected check the alternator connections for tightness and the alternator belts as well for the correct tension. Check starter cables for tightness and corrosion.

Re: 01 civic no start when hot
The crank and cam sensors use magnets and indeed they can “fail” when hot. You should be getting a MIL code though as the computer is pretty good at noticing errant data from those sensors.
