2004 1.7 vtec turns over strong but wont fire

A couple of months ago the car wouldn't start one evening. It turned over/ cranked endlessly but would not fire. Next morning, still wouldn't fire. After work i came home and it started perfectly. It has ran fine for the last couple months, then a couple days ago it wouldn't start again. Still turns over strong. The car has a new battery and new plugs. No check engine light, not throwing any codes. Any help/ suggestions wouldbe greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is there a green flashing key symbol in the cluster when cranking?

If the immobilizer doesn't recognize the key that light will flash while cranking. This would prevent the fuel pump from running, in turn preventing the engine from starting. The green key symbol will come on when the ignition is first turned on but will shutoff after a second or two if the key is recognized.

The car started tonight... which is worse for me right now because i don't know how to troubleshoot it if it's working! Can't even use it for work as it's already left me stranded lol

Intermittent issues are never fun. Maybe use it for short trips or drive around the block a few times until it won't start again.
