Having some trouble getting my civic to start after i did some work on it, any help is appreciated.

I had the strong smell of fuel in the cab of the car and i found that the top if the fuel pump housing was cracked. ordered the part online and changed it out, not the car wont start. It cranks strong but makes no attempt to fire up. The engine maintenance light is on but it was on before i replaced the fuel pump housing. The car has been sitting for a few months and the battery was dead. I also had th e battery unplugged while i was waiting on the part and replacing it.... around 3 days.

The efi main relay clicks once when you turn it on, then i hear the fuel pump, then another click and when i crank the car it clicks.

I'm lost here. Any help is greatly appreciated

Have you checked if you're getting spark? Or if fuel is getting to the cylinders? Should figure out what the engine light code is

Did you buy a filter and pump as a complete unit, or did you buy the filter and have to assemble it yourself

Many people somehow don't get it assembled exactly right and end up with no fuel being pumped or not enough fuel pressure to run the engine.
