Car won't start!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

I have a 92 honda civic and well its been sitting for about 5 months b.c I can't figure out whats wrong with it. The last time I drove it was when it wouldn't start back up from the gas station. Then my b.f pushed it to the side and I thought well I'll try to start it well I did and it started right up. Then I cut it off worse problem I shouldn't have done. I'll give you some things that I have replaced on it: I first replaced the fuel pump, and filter; then the I checked the main relay(wasn't anything wrong with the one I have); then I replaced the ignition coil which I did a year ago. I checked my old one and it was still good so i have two now. Finally I replaced the ignition module. I got a new battery, it acts alittle bit better but it still won't start. Please help me I don't know if it could be my spark plugs and wires or not. I had a rebuilt motor put in it just last nov. and one of the spark plugs has oil in it, would that be the problem? Please help me....its driving me up the wall. I asked a guy at Advance auto if it could be my computer chip and he said nothing would happen if that was the problem with my car. I would greatly appreciate if someone could lead me in the right direction, i feel like I'm going in circles. thank you.

The last problem I had with my 90 Civic before I passed her on was the screw holding the rotor on would come off and the rotor would just freewheel. Just pop off the distributor cap and check. If you do, be sure to pull it off towards the ground so if the screw is in the cap, it won't fall out. I was going to retap the screw or something but was in the process of buying a truck and gave the car to my brother. Man I still miss that car!

did you check the plugs and plug wires, oil in plug is not a good sign, maybe you need a new valve cover gasket. check ground wires from battery to chassis, maybe one is loose. check vtec solenoid screen filter for EX, it wont start if its clogged. check engine compression, check engine cam timing (may have slipped just enough for it to not start), and ignition timing, are the injectors clogged, air filter good, intake system okay (check and clean throttle body, IAC idle air valve, if it is stuck or clogged the car wont idle, fast idle thermo valve), do you have enough fuel pressure, is the ignition system working (distributor rotor cap plugs wires starter), wouldnt hurt to run some lubecontrol.com products through it if you ever get it started again. good luck. maybe you have a blown headgasket? loose vacuum lines, etc i can go all day but you have to start narrowing the problem.

Wow thats alot of things to look at.... the last thing I have done to it lately is put a ignition module on it and change the spark plugs....which when I checked them and changed them this time they all had oil in them.. which I know isn't a good sign. I'm going to check the timing on it to see if that would be the problem...I'm hoping its not a blown head gasket if it is the car isn't going to be fixed thats for sure. I appreciate you taking the time to name the things it could be. Its been out of commission for almost a year, and I hate just seeing it sit there. thanks again.

Re: Car won't start!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

swap out the ecu, my friend had a similar problem, his car didn't start and we replaced the iginition system, fuel pump, fuel filter, battery, ground wires, and I did a search on Honda-tech.com, and found that the problem could be the ecu, we went to the junk yard and picked up an ecu and it worked.
