2003 Honda Civic - Transmission pan
2003 Honda Civic - Transmission pan
Hey all, I’m in need of a little help. My transmission recently went out and I need to remove my transmission pan. But I’m a bit nervous to actually go in and start working. I’d take it to a shop but I don’t really have the necessary funds to do that. I’d like some advice on how to remove the pan and also inspect the filter for the transmission. Since that’s most likely what needs to be replaced from what I have been told.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You should look under there first. There is no pan that can be removed.
The filter plugs up because the trans needs a rebuild or replacement.

The filter is buried deep inside.
if your asking for help in taking off the pan, your in for a world of special tools, knowledge, parts, skills, and work location to do that level of work.
I suggest you research this a lot more, there is a awesome video of a master tech taking one apart.
