Tranny slipping?

I have a problem. I have and automatic tranny and whenever I'm going down an off ramp and I slow down to 30 mph my car would jerk as if I were downshifting. Does anyone have this problem or is it completely normal?

Next question, whenever I'm at a light I sometimes shift my car into neutral to save gas. Does anyone else do that or am I wasting my time?

your problem is nothing to worry about. its called grade logic and when you press the brakes going downhill the car will downshift to slow you down faster. on straight roads it shouldn't do it.
