Hi,

I drive a 97 LX. I just got the car from someone who won it in an auction. He told me when buying it the D light was blinking, and the car read a speed sensor issue. (P0720)

Since getting the car, I’ve replaced the speed sensor (with a high end one from Carquest), cleaned the connector, and Had a transmission flush. Any other suggestions or causes of this error. The car has presumably no other electrical issues, leading me to believe it’s not a PCM Issue and all other codes it does encounter right now are quick fixes (O2 sensors, VTEC Oil, Gascap).

I am open to any and all suggestions, also might take it to get diagnosed.

He lied to you, car probably needs a trans.
you could try an oem sensor from a junkyard.
