Lower ball joint angle capacity

The Civic ball joint looks like a good candidate to use in the front suspension of the reverse trike I'm designing.

If Amazon's weights are anything to go by, they're as light as they get, and will be overkill strength-wise for a 1000 lb vehicle.

Can someone tell me how much angular motion they can accommodate? The rubber boot doesn't look to have any corrugations to speak of so I'm concerned that's because there's not much motion to deal with.

Also, does the ball joint need to be clocked a certain way to get its maximum travel? I watched a few youtubes of Civic BJ replacement and they just popped them in w/o any mention of that.

How much do you need? I'm not really sure what to guess. Maybe 15° in any direction from center.

15 deg would just about do it, thanks.

FYI, that was a complete guess. I don't even have a ball joint to look at.

No worries; I found a thread where a guy measured suspension travel and got around 7", which is what I'm shooting for.
