Re: Lower control arms help

Do I need to pop the whole bushing out of the lower control arm and grease it or just put grease inside the metal bushing?

If it comes pre-installed don't worry about it

Re: Lower control arms help

Thanks again. I have one more question, there are 3 bolts on each rear LCA, if mine broke off. I ordered new bolts and they came with nuts, but i only remember there being a nut on the strut mount bolt not the the other 2, is there a fixed nut on the car ? Cant find a good diagram of the 98 civic rear suspension to see if those bolts take nuts.

Go here - enter your vehicle information and you can see a parts breakdown.
I entered some info but don't know what model your car is...

Re: Lower control arms help

98 Honda Civic sedan LX I will go there and check it thank you for the link.

Appreciate the link I went on there and found out only the bolt that actually goes through the strut through the lower control arm has a nut the other two on the lower control arm are built into the car already so I'm wondering the new bolt I bought why did they come with nuts? And are the threads going to match to be able to screw into that word already has a built-in net already attached to the car I guess I'll find out today.

My guess is those two extra nuts will probably replace the old nuts for those two studs built into the car.

Re: Lower control arms help

You're right the guy that sold me the new bolt kit that comes with the nuts he said we give you nuts because a lot of times all those nuts are rusted and the bolts are frozen and they break he said don't be afraid to cut the nuts off to get the arm off and then you can just replace the nuts with the ones we gave you.
