Need help with headliner panel
Need help with headliner panel
Hey guys got a 98 Honda Civic LX sedan the ceiling headliner material is drooping coming and glued from what I understand you cannot re-glue it it will not stay?
Called several upholstery shops 425 is out of the question I am not paying that much to have it fixed how hard is it to repair this myself or to redo it? Any tips or tricks to do this would be greatly appreciated thank you.

To properly do it yourself, you'd have to remove the headliner, clean the mating surface and then you can glue it. Alternatively, depending on if you care about how it looks, staples are an option

Yeah I kind of care what it looks like I'm kind of going to do a little restore on the car so I probably have to pull it off and get some new material that's what I was afraid of. I don't think putting a new material on is the problem it's getting the headliner out and back in.

Hopefully this helps. First video I found google searching, and dude tells you how to take the headliner out. Granted, he's working on a 97, but same generation as your 98

a bit involved, but not terribly hard, so it seems. Hardest part will definitely be finagling the headliner out of the car
