Change in RPM
Original owner 1997 Civic EX with 245000 miles. At 62 MPH engine tachometer 2500. Used to tach 2800. Engine runs fine. Does not stall when car stops. Normal 800 rpm at idle. Car seems to be louder at cruise of 62 MPH but running fine. Not burning oil and MPG still normal. No engine modifications. Car maintenance per owners manual over the years. Car in excellent condition. Why all of a sudden lower tach from what I used to see. Is this developing problem with transmission or not to worry.
