trouble starting...crank but won't start

here is what happen ....I was going to clean the throttle body before taking my car to get it smog test. I took off my intake arm to spray some Tb cleaner into the intake manifold but it turns out that I had spray the wrong can in by accident. the can I sprayed in was belt dressing instead of tb cleaner. Now my car won't start. it crank only seems like no spark. I tried spraying some starting fluid but same result. it also back fire with a little pop noise and smoke while I tried starting. what to do? I also replaced the sparkplugs and wires and Tb along with the tps after the accident occur but didn't help. I tried starting while stepping on the gas pedal down but no luck. now seems like my battery is being drained out due to all these failed attempts to starting the car. I'm open to any ideas on what to do...checked all fuses still good also. no cel code. my car is a 96 honda civic ex. couple.

Re: trouble starting...crank but won't start

recheck the spark plugs wires firing order. Backfire into the throttle body is a sign of incorrect firing order. Charge the battery for several hours to optimize cranking.

I would remove the MAP sensor and clean it well, probably coated in the belt stuff.

if that is true, you don't have a K24. It does not use distributor, no way to mix cables there.

At this point not much surprises me. But yes it would be nearly impossible to have them mixed up unless you have a majorly hacked up harness.
