I have read all of the related post I could find about my problem. I bought the car not running but had a ignition that was in pecies I fixed the key lock assembly and the.car now turns over but no spark I did the test.liggt.check slarks.plugs new o es no spark wires cap coil all new distributor also not new but one from..pic-a-part stll no spark there is power at the distributor coil but no spark when I turn it over same as old distribution what am I missing I ran the codes and p1298 came up now will that cause no spark there is power at the distributor any ideas anything

check mechanical timing to see if the crank and cam are out of sync?
did you do a spark test on the ignition coil and ignoter(even though you replaced the distributor)?

Yes I did check the coil and ignitor and nothing there was power at the coil but no spark so new distributors plugs wires cap rotor, I haven't looked at the timing cam and crank marks will do that first thing in the morning
