Help identifying / replacing damaged connector

Hi. My heater hose sprung a leak, and the process of removing it, I noticed that a wire connector was damaged. You can't see it from the picture, but the underside of the connector is disintegrated and won't stay connected anymore (see red box in the image). Can anyone tell me what this connector is and if it is possible to replace it?

Where on the engine is this located? Kinda looks like an oil pressure sensor

Thanks for your help. Here is a bigger picture. The distributor is removed.

Re: Help identifying / replacing damaged connector

Not oil pressure then. That's more on the rear of the engine by the oil filter. End of the sensor looked like an oil pressure sensor I soldered back together on my friend's 93 integra way back when.

Good news though, I found out what it is, it's a thermo unit used for engine coolant temp, I think. I used this diagram as reference, and it's part number 11, but that's the sensor itself.

As far as the electrical connection goes, it may be easier to find an engine wire harness and harvest the connector (with a bit of wire as a pigtail) and solder it in as a replacement.

what year/trim level do you have? I didn't see a VTEC solenoid in the larger pic, so I just did a search for a 99 DX AT
