stumped help plz

my GF has a 1999 LX, and it's developed 2 different problems. first. when you get the car up to operating temp. if you shut the car off when you try to start the car again it 50/50 that it won't start due to the engine flooding out.
second. the idle is way too high and surges, I've checked for vacuum leaks (starting fluid sprayed around engine compartment). GF was convinced it was tps went and bought one. I replaced it and still doing it does anyone have any ideas?

Re: stumped help plz

EGR could be dirty causing the high idle. Is the CEL on?

I have the same year Honda. I'm not too happy with what you had to do to fix yours. Can I look forward to losing my ECU soon?

Re: stumped help plz

Not really common for the 6th gen ones to fail. On the 7th Gen (01-05) if the alternator bolts aren't properly tightened, that can fry the ecu
