97 Civic threw a bunch of codes all of a sudden and speedo dead.
Hello Everyone,
Thanks for letting me join. I'm Frank. I'm a firefighter in the Phoenix Az area. I have a 97 Civic lx manual transmission that is my driver to and from the station. The other day while driving in the rain the speedometer just went dead and the check engine light came on. I went to Parts store and had then scan it and these codes came up.

The vehicle seems to be driving completely normal just no speedo. I'm a novice to basic mechanic. What do I start replacing? The Speed Sensory?
Thanks for whatever help you can give.
Frank

There's a tsb about a wire harness clip breaking which then allows the harness to droop and get chewed up by one of the belts, check and see if that's what happened

Look for TSB 99-029 ; it has a date of April 20 1999 on it. Google it and you'll find the PDF
The gist of this bulletin is that a number of wires have been damaged due to chafing wearing through the insulation. Look on the side of the engine toward the firewall under the intake manifold.
