97 civic wont start

hi i have a 97 civic 1.6 lsi..can any1 help me my civic wont start the check engine light is on..ive changed the distributer and got the immobiliser bypassed on the ecu and it still wont start..it just wont fire up it turns over n all!! can any1 give me answers please???????

You need to find out what the engine code is. I'm sure is has something to do with that.

how do you do that? the mechanic told me dat he cudnt plug it itno the computer dat the connection was round??

Yea, you have to jump 2 wires together and the check engine light will blink a code. Here is a website with the codes. http://www.troublecodes.net/honda/
