Instrument Cluster and Driver Side Speaker Issue [solved]

Well this is new. I inherited this problem when I bought the car. 2000 Civic Si SOHC 1.6L Manual. I just found out when the driver side door speaker is installed, it blows #30 Light Instrument Fuse. Has anyone come across this before? I'm not even sure where to begin metering or what I'm metering for haha.

Check the stereo wiring in the dash. That's the only spot i can think of where those wires would be close together

re: Instrument Cluster and Driver Side Speaker Issue [solved]

So out of pure luck, I figured it out. I was switching out the instrument panel light bulbs with LED bulbs and when I finished< i was reinstalling my radio bezel back in and all of a sudden the lights went out and I heard the fuse pop. I was actually pretty happy because that really narrowed down the area of cause. I put a new fuse in and played around with some of the harness and pop goes the fuse again. I start inspecting the harness ive narrowed it down too and there was 2 wires that were part of the radio harness that were cut and not taped off. These were shorting out and causing the fuse to pop. I taped them up and I now have working lights on my cluster and I have my driver door speaker working again. If only I can get this stupid SRS light to reset now.

Glad you found the issue, might just be worth going to a shop to get the light reset. If you went to an independent guy and asked nicely they might do it pretty cheap
