I shorted out my kill switch on the metal dash bracket
Hi all,
I'll start off with I'm new to the forum and I am hoping to get some advice on what might be wrong with my car. I have a b16 swapped 2000 civic ex and I had installed a fuel pump kill switch that I spliced into the power wire for the fuel pump right next to the fuse box under the dash. I had wired the switch several days ago and ran the wires into the glove box and left the switch in the glove box not bolted to anything. Today I pushed the switch behind the glovebox to put it into its permanent spot and it grounded out and shorted on the metal bracket that holds in the glove box. I have dome lights when I open the door and beeping when the car is in the ignition, but no lights on the dash/radio power or relays clicking when I turn the key to the 2nd or running position. I think I may have blown a fuse but the fuel pump relay seems fine. Is it possible that I damaged my fuel pump relay or the main relay? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: I shorted out my kill switch on the metal dash bracket
Its safer to bridge the ground wire, because the entire chassis is grounded. That way in the future if the wire coating wears away, you should be ok.
but yes I'd check all fuses, both, under hood and under dash.
a "test light" is like $8 and makes fuse testing fast and easy.
