hey so i have a 99 ej6 coupe with a d16y8 vtec. car came with no tach when i bought it so i decided to purchase an oem gauge cluster that has one. put it in, checked for proper connections and started the car up. speedo works, fuel and temp works, all the lights work except for the tachometer. also there’s check engine light now which i’ve heard other people mention when they have a tach problem like me. i’ve browsed probably every forum post and youtube video about this problem and can’t seem to find an actual answer. can someone pls help me out? thanks!
