Tacho not working on 99lx
Tacho not working on 99lx
Its a stock everything car and the tachometer isnt working right now, just bought the car today and its kind of annoying but im not too worried about it because its an automatic. It is throwing some kind of an engine code but i dont know what it is right now. Will update tomorrow with the code once i get a chance to get it. If you want any pictures let me know.

Still could have been swapped, mileage on the cluster seems to agree with the wear and year on the car?
Does it have remote start or an aftermarket alarm?

Some of the lower trim levels didn't come with tachs, I know I've seen it on some manual cars, can't remember if I've seen it on an auto

Re: Tacho not working on 99lx
So have you done any diagnosis work yet?
check for hacked up wiring, check that everything is plugged in on the cluster. There may be a cluster self test that you can do. Google it, not sure if there is one for the 6th gens. If the tach has just failed, then you just swap the cluster, $20 at the junkyard. You could get it repaired but it would be expensive
