Key Fob Mod

My key fob has a range of 10ft and I want to improve it. I'm going to solder a wire onto the antenna for the remote box in the car and on the key fob itself. I'm having a hard time being able to tell where the antenna is on the keyfob. Does anyone know where it might be?

Have you replaced the battery yet? The range diminishes as the battery drains.

My educated guess is the the antenna is that outer trace that is on both sides of the fob. Don’t know for sure though.

You were right. I scratched off the paint from the trace and soldered a wire to it and it improved my range. Thanks for the help. Had to trim the case a little. I guess I should of used some thinner wire.
