2001 and 2005 doors and fender interchange?
2001 and 2005 doors and fender interchange?
I had a deer run into the side of my 2005 Civic HX coupe...destroying the passenger door and fender. I found a very nice coupe door and fender in a local yard...even the same color code....but it's a 2001. Are the doors and fenders identical on a 2001 to a 2005...making it a simple bolt-on job?
Also, my car does not have power windows, but this 2001 does. Are the door frames themselves the same for power windows and manual windows...where I could just exchange the innards from my 2005 door into the 2001? Or is it possible that my car wiring has the harness that would power the window motor in that door by just plugging it in?
thanks

Doors are the same, just swap the guts and door card to get manual vs power. You can swap the lock cylinder/handle over as well so the original key works.
fender is different 01-03 are the same, 04-05 are the same

I was wondering if the car might have the same wiring harness that would have power for the windows since it seems the vast majority of these have power windows it seems.. It might be sorta cool to have one power window if it is just plug and play. The interior color is black and the door interior panel is black and in perfect shape.
What about the door speakers? Would they be same in 2001 and 2005?
Just confirming that the fender has to come from a 2004 or 2005 and nothing else..correct? I might be able to find a silver one at the yard when I get the door. Would the fenders on a 4 dr be the same as my coupe?
Thanks for all the help! I'm the original owner of this car, but I've never really had to work on it till now.

honestly, never opened the door to see. So there is already wiring to power the window in a manual crank window car?

sadly can't find in online part sites the part numbers for coupes anymore (did not see coupe option), but you can just compare part numbers - if they are the same, they are the same

Body side the wires should be there already, would just need to put a fuse in the fusebox
