2004 Honda Civic Restoration

Hi everyone! I just bought a 2004 Honda Civic VP, color Fiji Blue Pearl, with 163K miles on it. I plan on repainting the entire car and replacing broken and worn out parts. This is a second car to me so that I don't have to put miles on my TL-S.

Anyways, I have been trying to search for and buy the window crank handles (rear) for the 2004 Honda Civic VP, but the online illustrated parts breakdown don't show the window crank handle. They just show parts for electric windows, the regulators, etc. Is anyone else having this problem?

I will be posting pictures and progress in this thread as I go along. Tomorrow: timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and serpentine belt are to be replaced.

Using a site like HondaPartsNow.com, select 2004 Civic 4 door DX value package. Part number for rear window regulator handle is below.

72220-SH3-003ZQ for the gray color.
72220-SH3-003ZT for the ivory color.

Re: 2004 Honda Civic Restoration

Grrrr. Seems like those parts are discontinued, which means I can try junkyards and ebay, or I can engineer something to use power windows.

Re: 2004 Honda Civic Restoration

Car was leaking lots of oil, from pretty much everywhere. Decided to pay to have those seals and gaskets replaced at the dealer. Timing belt, water pump, and tensioner, along with serpentine belt will be replaced as well. New brakes, new steering wheel cover (the sewn on one, not the cheap garbage), new brake light, new transmission fill line plug, along with some mods, will go in the next couple of weeks. Bought some front and rear arking sensors to install. The two front cylinder door locks will be replaced as well. I plan on respraying the entire car as well in early November.
