Wheel wells

Hi,
I am new on the forum and I have a question.
I would like to know what material is used on my Civic VII sport wheel wells ?
My first Honda was an Honda accord 1993 and there plastic was used. But
on my civic I don't know what it is.
I would also like to know if I can take it off so I can treat it against rust and also
once it is treated I have to put it on again?
Thank you very much in advance.
