How to seal door handle from weather?
How to seal door handle from weather?
I just changed the lock on my drivers door and want to seal around the door handle perimeter so rain doesn't get behind it. I'm looking for suggestions on how to grout around it, if you will, without loosening or removing it since it's back on now and was a major pain getting it together as good as it is now. Should I put a bead of caulk in the slight gap between it and the door?
I believe originally there was black weather stripping adhesive helping to hold + seal it against the door but imo that's probably more suited for when exterior parts are sitting perfectly flush against the car body. In my case there is a gap although somewhat slight because I cannot get the handle completely flush again.
Idk maybe Permatex black silicone will be good?
