How are the rubber strips on the roof installed?
How are the rubber strips on the roof installed?
'01 sedan:
I think I've tracked a huge interior water leak to one of those roof rubber strips missing and allowing water down the window pillar. I bought a new one and installed it, which solved the issue in light rain, but after large storms over the past few days still flooded the driver's footwell there's still an issue yet to be fixed.
Is there a sealant that was supposed to be applied to that strip to seal the end that goes into the A-pillar?

DX/LX/EX? I believe those rubber strips are just there to cover a seam, not really to be water tight. Usually leaks in the driver foot well are related to the sunroof which has a drain tube down the A pillar.

Thanks!
I don't know the trim of the car, but it doesn't have a sunroof.
