Driver side door check strap

Driver side door check strap So the drivers door on my em2 doesn't stop at the indents on the factory installed door check strap. I've ordered a new one part number 72380-S5P-A01, this unit doesn't come greased so I'm wondering what long lasting grease I can put on this strap when I install it.

I would leave it as is with no lube, and keep it clean.
They consist of 2 super hard rubber squares that press against the black plastic rail, and detents.

Installed today, took around 15 minutes. Did NOT lube the assembly. Appears to be working just fine without any additional lubrication. I will say that the rubber was completely worn out on one side of the stopper that's mounted on the inside of the door.
