Hi there, I have a 2002 Civic Si with the heated mirrors option.
The problem is the passenger side heated mirror heats up fine, but the drivers side doesn't at all. The mirror adjuster works fine on both mirrors too.
Would I have to buy a new heated mirror? or is it fixable
Thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Heated mirrors
The glass has 2 wires connected to it to run the heating element.
Test on the 2 wires with a voltmeter and you should find 12v when the heater is turned on.
Ohm test the element to make sure it is not open circuit.
If you can't reach the wires on the back of the glass you can go to the power mirror harness connector in/on the door and find those 2 wires and do the test there.
If you don't find 12v with the meter, you need to determine if the positive is missing or the negative is missing, then consult a wiring diagram and track down why.
If you do find 12v on the wires, then ohm check the element.
