Re: Power Doors problem.

Same as my car, which is an '01 Civic EX Coupe. Driver's side power door locks stopped working some time ago. I never bothered to fix it, so I just go old-school and use the key.

Same thing happened to a colleague of mine with her '02-ish Acura TSX. She had it fixed at an independent shop. They charged her a couple hundred bucks.

It's not very hard to change it yourself. I believe you can find the door lock actuator for something like $60. Basically just take off the door panel, unscrew a few bolts, disconnect a wiring harness, and put it all back together.

Re: Power Doors problem.

The power door lock actuator motor is rusted and or seized.
Replace the door lock actuator with a new one.
What year /model is the car?

Re: Power Doors problem.

The power door lock actuator motor is probably bad. I changed one on the passager door, not too bad. A it tight (thats what she said!) but took about an hout.

Listen for buzzing type noise from the drivers door on the 1st remote unlock press.

With door closed work the lock/unlock near the inside handle several times up and down and see if the lock **** button tries to move and listen for noise from drivers door from actuator while testing.

Re: Power Doors problem.

You can probably get one from Majestic Honda or Dealer Direct Parts. I usually go with Majestic, but last week Dealer Direct beat them by about $125 on a Cat Converter, so that's why I mention them too. It's really not the big a deal to get into the door to check it out. I had to do both of my rear doors recently. Killed the point of the new remote start/alarm system I put in!
