OEM side skirt problem

I got the factory ground effects kit from honda when I bought my car. And it seems that ever since then, the side skirts have been loose at the back of the car. I have taken my car to get it looked at a few times but they never fix it, they just say put some double sided tape on it. The only problem with that is my side skirts are hanging down, they arent attached very tight at the back. I have tighted the screws underneath but that doesn't bring the skirt up any toward the back and i dont see how tape will work if the skirt is too low to begin with. I thought about just drilling some brackets in the rear fender wells and holding them up that way. I was just wondering if anyone had a easier way to fix this. thanks

The original OEM sides have a metal piece that sticks on with tape, and then the skirt slides onto that. If you don't let the tape cure overnight before putting on the sideskirt, the weight will eventually peel it off. I've had mine on for a year and they're rock solid. Just take em off and try to redo the double sided tape part.

hmm forgot how long i have mine.. but I dont see how the rear lip will fall off.. mine was a bitch to attach to the rear.. it doesnt even really need the double side tape.. it like clamps onto the rear bumper..

or at least on mine..

as for the side skirt.. its holding on okay too.

some pictures might help though.

but what u should try is remove the side skirt.. and reapply the metal plate as gearbox suggested.

I installed mine and I didnt wait overnight.. but I did use the blow dryer and went at it for quite a long time to make sure its heated up and attached right.
