Flooded Vehicle
Flooded Vehicle
My 2002 Si hatchback was totally submerged in the recent St Louis flood. In opening the breather, the inside of the filter looks clean but all the areas inside the box are covered in dust/mud.
I had happened to unhook my positive battery cable the night before the downpour so all the electrical seems to be fine. I've researched on how to salvage a flooded car and feel pretty confident on that front - just not sure if the engine is compromised because dirt may have gotten inside.
Also don't know if it's worth trying to sell outright - don't really have a place to work on it or probably would.
Suggestions? Much thanks

Re: Flooded Vehicle
My car (a 1996 Civic VTi) got flooded, and water entered the interior, which also affected the ECU. I've already changed the engine oil and transmission fluid, and I also cleaned the ECU. However, when I tried to start the car, it wouldn't start. What could be the possible issue with the car?
