So I’m pretty new to jacking up my car as I’ve only really used lifts before. I need to jack up both of the front wheel to do some suspension work. I’m seeing mixed results on where to hack the car up. Can I use this point to jack up the car?
thanks
I was curious about this too. Owner manual and service manuals just talk about jacking up the sides which makes it complicated or impossible to jack up both front and back to do a tire rotation without a lift.
If anything, just unjack slowly to reduce the shock on the control arm bushing when the wheels contact the ground if you have old bushings. As for engine mounts or any other subframe impact when lowering the off the jack I'm not sure, if anyone cares to provide input on the matter
