best jacking point for rear of car?

best jacking point for rear of car?

Just wondering what you guys think is the best jacking point for lifting the rear of the car?

The manufacturer's recommended jacking point for the rear of the car is the tow hook in the rear of the car.

^^^ yeah, but a jack that will lift from there and get you high enough to get stands under the jack points on the side is about $300. I always jack the back of the car from the boxed in subframe for the suspension arms. Just make sure you get the jack centered under there so it doesn't teeter-totter back and forth from being out of balance and as common sense dictiates, use jack stands.

I have a $40 trolley jack from Costco which jacks it more than high enough to put stands under the jack points.

I always use the same jacking point that boilermaker suggested. I think both will work though.

I use the subframe as well, just was wondering what everyone else did.
