Cracked Engine Block 2007 Honda Civic
Hi Everyone:
Car - 2007 Honda Civic with 403K on Frame and 160K Miles on second Engine(2009).
My lower engine block on my 2007 Honda Civic Cracked and started to dip Anti Freeze in 2019. This was already past the extended warranty time provided by Honda. So I had another engine dropped in to continue on. It was used with 79K on it. Well, it happened again last week and it seems more than one hairline crack developed. One in the front which I tried JB Weld and one at the rear, which I cannot access. Is there a treatment I can use to help seal the block. I see K&W Block seal and other types of products out there. I hate to get rid of the car, but the dripping is hitting my exhaust and it looks like I am smoking bad and I am concerned it will get worse. I need to refill overflow reservoir at least weekly now. Can these products buy me a few more years on the car? and what do you suggest....And please dont say shoot it.

Shoot it. lol
It looks like high-heat epoxy may work, but there was never any follow-up on if it ever worked. If it does, it's a cheap fix, if not, it was a cheap attempt to fix. If you're willing to sink more into it, see if you can source an engine later than 2009, but I think you may be better off getting a different car at that point.

Do not use anything in the coolant system to stop leaks. You could try the epoxy, not sure how well it will work since the system is pressurized.
I would drop in an engine if you're planning on keeping the car

you ran 160k since 2019? the first engine lasted 250k until it cracked? the second is 79+160k?
400k miles total?
I think you got a lot of miles from it, to be honest... It was not complete waste of money. Like others said, drop a 2009+ engine if you decide that route
moved to the cracked engine section

If you're only doing quick trips like that could just keep driving it as is. Switch to water instead of coolant if you live somewhere with no winter
