Rear Trunk Button Quit Working - 2014

I have a 2014 EX sedan with about 100,000 miles. Recently, the rear button on the trunk lid quit working. The key fob works normally, but it never leaves my wallet because I don't like transmitting my codes. I just use the inside release, for now.

I assume it has to be a switch gone bad. I can't imagine a connector coming undone. And if the fob works, all is good in the fuse department?

Thanks!

I tried to put this in electrical, but the moderators decided it should be here...

dismantle and test the connectors, wiring. No other way to check for electrical issues than checking them

Re: Rear Trunk Button Quit Working - 2014

Apparently the issue is temperature related. We had experienced a couple of cold nights 17 & 19 Feb, with low temps 2 & 8 F respectively. Once it warmed up, it began working!
