Issue that affects vipers, stereo display, and speedometer

Hi,

I'd appreciate it if anyone could direct me to a DIY fix for the issues I'm having with my 2006 Civic, which I assume are electrical issues.

When I bought the car 3 years ago, there was already an issue with the stereo display being scrambled. This seemed to improve when the car got warm, or when it was freezing cold (or maybe it was just random, I don't really know).

Funnily enough, whenever the display was really scrambled, there seemed to be an issue with the vipers as well, where they would end a viping cycle at random places (like in the middle of the front window). And when the display got better, the vipers too would get fixed.

So it seems the two are connected.

Lately, the speedometer has started to get affected too. It will cut out for most part, usually triggered by using the blinkers. I can't have that. The viper issue has also gotten worse simultaneously with this.

With this latest issue, it seems to be working fine as long as the car is cold. But then it cuts out as the car gets warmer, or I use the blinkers.

Anyone know a fix for this?

P.S. While I'm at it, I want to fix the temperature sensor as well. But that's not as important.

You have a short somewhere, unfortunately you're going to have to Inspect all the wires under the dash to find it.
