Hi,
New to this forum and need your help.
I just bought 2015 Civic which has airbag light on and mechanic scanned and got this message "open or increased resistance in driver airbag second inflator".
Please let me know how to approach this. Appreciate your reply.

Created your own thread. You can have them clear the fault and see if it comes back. Otherwise it sounds like the airbag needs replaced.

The airbags have two inflators, both are located inside the airbag itself.

Re: 2015 Civic Airbag Fault
Steering wheel airbags are usually not difficult to remove. The battery should be disconnected for ~10 minutes beforehand to avoid accidental inflation. I'm sure a replacement airbag would be expensive though, like $700. You could always call a service center and see if they could help you out. Sometimes they'll replace SRS components for free. I believe they did this on 7th gens with seat belt buckles.
