Auto. Door Lock Broken?

Auto. Door Lock Broken? Hey everyone, for the past month my passenger door lock hasn't been automatically locking and unlocking when I press the lock/unlock button on the keypad for my alarm. I keep having to do it manually by putting the key into the lock and turning it on the passenger side. If I try to unlock/lock with the key on the drivers side, the passenger side won't do anything. Does anyone know what the problem is? Im guessing that the mechanism that does the unlocking/locking of the door is faulty or something, but im not sure. Id really appreicate you alls help.
