Warranty Work

Ok I finally brought my car in for warranty work today. Here are the problems I listed to them.

1) Oil Leak from the car
2) Car makes a weird sound when I start the car
3) Suspension is very bouncy and squeeky
4) When i Brake it makes a clicking sound

I dropped it off at 8:30am today it is 3:15 right now they just called me and said I hafta leave it overnight.

And they are only working on the Oil Leak havent even checked the others yet.

This blows !

They better not try pulling a fast one on me and try charging me after all this. Should be under warranty !!!

Oh ya this is a 2001 Sedan BTW with around 50,000km.

I will update you guys !

50000 miles? I think they will screw you. They will claim oil leak, and squeaks are ordinary "tear and wear parts", like break pads...
Best of luck

A car leaking oil is not normal, nor is it wear and tear. It is a sign that something in the engine is not sealing properly.

The good old brake clicking noise...... I just got my car back from the dealer for the same problem. There going to tell you that it is your brake pad moving and that it is completely normal "all civics do it", there is nothing they can do about it. I know it sucks, and it's really annoying, makes me feel like my car is falling apart after 6,000 miles!

we have a 3 year 60,000 km warranty....
considering that my car has been in the dealer like every 2 months since I bought it and it's now 8000km away from end of warranty, I'm starting to worry

Update:

Honda just called they will need to keep my car all weekend till monday !

1) Oil Leak is getting fixed said they are still searching for exact problem but they said it was around the Timing Belt
2) Car start noise hasnt been figured yet, said they will check after they fix the oil leak
3) Shocks or being replaced
4) They are servicing my brakes

Not Bad ! They are actually fixing it and I got a loaner civic

Just better not try charging me ! I doubt they will though seems to be all warranty work.

Not bad, timing belts are hard to change I heard.... I'm surprised that they serviced your brakes, they didn't do **** for me. I wish I had the same service as you.

hi "AntiLoop"

did you follow the exact check up list on the manuel?

did you ask dealer to do all those? or did you just go to some shop or even DIY?

because I DIY oli change, DIY oil filter, and now my car is 30 000Km...I worry DIY will void guarantee??
