if you get a problem with your struts your warranty wont cover it because you lowered it. i know that for sure.

In fact, the only part of your warranty that will be affected is the suspension.

The burden of proof is on them, there is a federal law that states that they (not you) must prove that any modification to the vehicle directly contributed to the failure of a component in order to void that portion of your waranty.

So in the case anything affected by droping the car would not be covered, i.e. the struts, ball joints, axles, wheel busings / bearings tie rods etc.. that see forces not accounted for in the initial design.

If anything does go wrong that costs lots to fix, you can always take the stuff off before bringing it in, thats what most people do...

I would personally get your struts checked before lowering because it has proven to be quite a problem on '01 and '02 civics, I dont know about '03's though.

If you are lowing your car, you should always get struts that are meant for lowering. Factory struts aren't made for it and will blow in short order.

Call your dealer and ask them. My dealer will cover a lowered Honda as long as they performed the install. Give them a call, yours might also..
