paint thinner

i have some paint from another car on my car, i think they swiped me or something but its very small and on the side of my front bumper, someone recommended i use paint thinner to get it out but does anyone know if that will hurt my paintcoat?

Don't use paint thinner. You a very fine grit like 1000 or 2000 grit sand paper and sand it off, then wax polish over it or use more touchup paint.

Or maybe try some rubbing compound thats safe for clear coats.

The paint thinner will not damage the paint. Just put a small amount on a rag and wipe off the offending paint. DO NOT SAND THE PAINT unless you really Know what you are doing. an other good product you could try that is milder then Paint thinner is SPeedy 500. Good luck with that.
