Fixing Rear Deck......
Hey everyone, I was reading the Honda service bulletin on how to fix the rear deck rattle and it looks simple enough to remove to fix. The only question that I have about this fix is that the only thing required to fix the rattle is "EPT Sealer 5T. Does anyone know where I can find this EPT Sealer 5T? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

If it's under warranty... just take it in... It takes a while to disassemble the rear interior panels, you may as well let someone else just do it for you. If you've had your windows tinted, they probably won't do it under warranty cuz they'll claim someone else took it apart. So in that case, you may be in trouble. I have no idea what that stuff is, but when I took mine apart, I found the problem to be that not all 7 clips in the rear deck were snapped into place. You may want to check that first. Go in the trunk and look up at the rear deck... you should see 7 white pegs poking through the metal deck.
I would think its some kind of sound insulation. Try stuffing a sock by where the 3rd brake light plugs in, and see if that fixes the rattle. If that doens't work, remove your rear deck and put some weather stripping between the back of the deck and the rear window.

I've told honda about the problem and when I came back to pick up my car after getting the oil changed, they still didn't fix it. On the service bulletin it tells how to remove the panel by only removing these side trim panels on either side behind the folded down seats, not all the side panels with the arm rests in the back.

n/m I stand corrected. You do have to remove the side panels in order to remove the rear deck. I will probably get the dealership to fix the rattle in the rear deck then. I will hand them this service bulletin as well to show them the proper way to fix it, since they never have successfully done so.
